RANGERS
KEEP THE PRESSURE ON
The under 18’s kept up the pace
with the leaders this weekend with a fine 3-1 victory over
Colchester United at a windswept Harlington.
Reece Crowther started in
goal for this one with Billy Coyne, Aaron Goode and Lee Brown
named alongside a trialist in defence. James Folkes, Matt
O’Brien, Keiron St. Aimie and Chris Arthur made up the midfield
whilst Angelo Balanta got his first start of the season in a new
look front line with Romone Rose.
Rangers took the lead after 15 minutes
through Rose and then doubled in less than ten minutes later
with Balanta scoring his second goal at this level.
The game was effectively over just before
the break when O’Brien’s header was deflected home by a
Colchester defender and, although The U’s got one back in the
second half, it was The R’s who took the vital three points.
The win leaves us in third spot
in the South East Conference table as both Southend and
Gillingham also saw off their respective opponents on Saturday.
We have three games left to play compared to Southend’s two and
Gillingham’s one leaving us with a real chance of taking the
title however three points against Orient next week will be
vital.
QPR:
Crowther (Goodchild), Coyne, Trialist (Maguire), Goode, Brown,
Folkes, (Vanterpool), O'Brien, St Aimie, Arthur, Rose, Balanta.
