LOCAL SCHOOL FUNDRAISING VENTURE

This is a chance to prove yet again what great fans we have at QPR

This is a chance to prove yet again what great fans we have at QPR. A fundraising venture is being set up by one of the fans, Stephen Dedridge, with the support of both QPR 1st Supporters Trust and the QPR LSA, of which all proceeds raised will go towards helping to send some of the children attending the Jack Tizard School (QPR's nearest neighbour) to the QPR Football in the Community Soccer Schools sessions and putting an end of term party on for the kids.

Jack Tizard is a day school for pupils aged 2-19 years with a range of severe learning difficulties, including profound and multiple learning difficulties.  The school serves the community of Hammersmith and Fulham and accepts pupils from a range of other boroughs.  The school population consists of pupils from a range of social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

The school's goal is to enable each pupil to develop to his or her full potential. A broad and balanced curriculum is provided that is differentiated to meet individual needs and which allows access to the National Curriculum. The ethos of the school is founded on the principle of respect for all regardless of gender, race, sexuality, social background, ability, nationality or religion. The contribution of every individual is valued equally. The school promotes the positive social inclusion of all its pupils by fostering community links throughout the Borough and elsewhere.

All donations for this venture will be greatly received, and an initial accounting will be conducted at the end of the current season, when hopefully we can begin to benefit a great many of the schoolchildren.

Donating money couldn’t be easier. You can donate online (http://www.qpr1st.co.uk/jacktizard.html) or send cheques/postal orders to:  PO box 30880, with all cheques to be made payable to 'Jack Tizard School' please.

Look out for further news about fund raising activities including a bucket collection at the Crewe match.
