SEASON REVIEW: MATCH RATINGS

All season you have been rating the players' performances by marking each of them with a score between 1 and 10. We've told you the averages on a game by game basis but how did things shape up over the whole season? Here we take a look at the averages from the campaign and see how you judged the teams efforts over the last nine months of action.

We've ruled out anyone who played less than five times this season as that doesn't produce a fair score.

It says a lot about the sort of season you've had when your keeper wins polls such as this so it must say even more when both your keepers come in the top two but that's what's happened here. Paul Jones is your highest rated player of the season with an average mark of 7.09 from his fourteen games, the only player to score an average over seven this season. His predecessor between the sticks, Simon Royce, came second with an average mark of 6.85 whilst Danny Shittu was voted into third place with an average of 6.75 from his games.

The player with the lowest average score over the whole season was Stefan Moore, he only earned a rating of 5.30 in his twenty seven appearances for Rangers. Dean Sturridge ran him close with a poor mark of 5.40, if he's played more games he'd doubtless have beaten Moore to the wooden spoon.

Simon Royce scored the highest individual match rating of the season with a near perfect score of 9.52 for his performance at Pride Park whilst Richard Langley earned the lowest individual match rating of the season, he got just 2.67 for his efforts away to Cardiff.

For the first time this season we have two managers scores to compare, Ian Holloway scored an average of 5.80 for his games in charge and you rated the away trip to Derby as his best performance of the season with a score of 8.28. At the other end of the scale he was only given a mark of 2.66 for the home game against Leicester which turned out to be his last in charge at Loftus Road.

Meanwhile Gary Waddock managed to score a higher mark than Holloway despite turning in worse results, you rated his performance this season with an average score of 6.14. According to his ratings, his best game was the 3-2 away win at Sheffield United for which you gave him a score of 8.75 whilst his worst was the away defeat at Burnley, he only received a mark of 3.46 for that one.

Finally this season we also asked you mark our refs in each game, it's reassuring to know there's someone you rated worse than the players and it's the officials! They received an average mark of 5.02 over the season with Clive Penton (Sheffield Wednesday at home) rated the best at 7.22 and, unsurprisngly, Andy Hall slated as the worst with a mark of 1.66 for his pathetic performance at Northampton.
